Honouring Scotland’s Healthcare Heroes Finalists Announced for 2025 Health Awards
We’re proud to announce the finalists for Scotland’s Health Awards 2025 – a celebration of the selfless individuals and dedicated teams who are transforming health and social care across the country.
This year’s finalists have been described as visionary leaders, compassionate carers, and skilled professionals whose work has made a real and lasting difference to patients, families, and communities. Their impact reaches far beyond their day-to-day roles – from transforming departments into centres of excellence, to influencing care nationally and internationally.
Nominations spoke of humility and grace, emotional intelligence, and the ability to inspire excellence in others. These are people who act with courage, warmth, and generosity – often giving their own time to support those around them. They are inclusive, respectful, and meticulous in their approach, consistently elevating standards and delivering care that feels, to many, like family.
Neil Gray MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care said:
“Congratulations to all the incredible individuals and teams who made it to the final stage of this year’s Scotland’s Health Awards.
It was an extremely difficult task for the judges to select the finalists from such strong nominations.
These awards provide the opportunity to showcase the exceptional care our NHS offers and the impact it has on patients and their loved ones.
The stories in the nominations demonstrate the meaningful progress that we’re striving to achieve through accessible, person-centred and innovative care – helping people in Scotland to live healthier, longer lives.
Good luck to all the finalists and I look forward to seeing you all at the awards ceremony.”
